Hello ladies!
I just wanted to do a quick post before I head off to my meeting. I got my Everyday Minerals kit the other day, and stopped by a CCO, so I’ve got some swatches and mini review for you all.
Everyday Minerals
Concealer brush – I haven’t used it yet, but it looks pretty good. It has stiff, but soft bristles that are ideal for powder concealer, and will probably work on cream/liquid concealer as well.
Flat-top brush – I love this foundation brush. I didn’t have high expectations for it (only $10?), so when I used it, I was pleasantly surprised. It kind of reminds me of the MAC 187 brush in theory, but the bristles are denser which makes putting on the foundation much easier. It’s also really soft, so it doesn’t scratch my face. I’ve only used it a few times, but I’m starting to think that it might be better than my Alima #25 brush…
Mixing bowls – These bowls are worth it! For only $4, you get a set of 5. I was expecting a generic quality plastic bowl, but they’re actually very solid and high-quality (as well as heavy!). They’re made from melamine, which to be honest, I have no idea what it is, but Google tells me that it’s usually used in kitchen products, which makes sense.
Blushes – I love them all! New Car Smell is very light, but highly pigmented. The shimmery ones can be too much for some people, but I love shimmer so it works for me.
CCO/MAC
I stopped by the CCO the other day, and they had a lot of Rushmetal pigments. I ended up only getting Off The Radar (similar to Firespot e/s from Moonbathe) and Sweet Sienna ($13.75 each!). Sweet Sienna is pretty, but I don’t think it’s that amazing. I was estatic to find the Pandamonium quad since it’s a gorgeous quad and I’ve been wanting a backup. The 242 was a great deal! I almost bought it from MAC for $28, but they had one left for $15.75.
Aaannnddd I filmed a tutorial, but I’m not quite sure yet if I want to put it up. The lightning wasn’t the greatest, so I’ll have to see if I can adjust it, or just re-film it. Stay tuned!
